Facility Upgrade Projects
Throughout the spring and summer, Toronto Port Authority project teams will be undertaking the following facility upgrades at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.
Combined Services Building
Renovations are being completed at the Fire and Emergency Services headquarters to extend the building’s service life and improve operational efficiency. Work will occur intermittently during daytime hours only on the island airside from July through September.
Electrical Infrastructure
Upgrades to aging electrical infrastructure are being carried out to maintain system reliability and reduce the risk of service interruptions. Work will occur intermittently during both daytime and nighttime hours on the island from July through September.
Passenger Transfer Facilities
The Passenger Transfer Facilities (terminals) on both the mainland and island are undergoing upgrades to optimize space utilization, accommodate operational requirements, improve accessibility, and support future business and operational needs. This work is now substantially complete.
Efforts will be made to limit impacts associated with construction activities. For inquiries regarding these projects, please contact communications@torontoportauthority.com.
