A Federal Business Enterprise
Incorporated on June 8, 1999, Toronto Port Authority was established under the Canada Marine Act as a government business enterprise to oversee the Port of Toronto, Outer Harbour Marina and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, as well as marine navigation in Toronto Harbour. Financially self-sufficient – meaning we receive no public funding from any level of government – we are accountable to the federal government through Transport Canada and guided by a Board of Directors.
